JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Sr. Director, Marketing Operations

Reports to: SVP, Global Marketing

Overview

This role will be responsible for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of EA’s Global Marketing Organization (GMO). A central area of focus will be in defining, maintaining and optimizing marketing processes and leading change management activities associated with the new process development. In this regard, this role will lead a team of project managers partnering with cross functional marketing and development teams to manage and measure the execution of Franchise Marketing Campaigns, starting in FY15 across three key franchises, across all parts of marketing organization. Additionally, this role will create and manage a regular Marketing review process to increase the effectiveness of the entire Global Marketing Organization and the success of our marketing efforts. The role will set standards to establish a tighter business rhythm and establish and manager a org-wide scorecard designed to improve overall delivery performance. This role will work hand in hand with the SVP, Global Marketing and provide oversight and guidance to projects of high importance. This role will run Sr. Staff meetings and insure operational excellence within the organization.

MAJOR AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY

Global Marketing Process

  • Develop, document and maintain Global Marketing processes in partnership with cross functional marketing teams across EA
  • Develop long term adoption and improvement strategy
  • Manage and own tracking and reporting of program performance
  • Coordinate, establish and maintain process governance
  • Conduct regular review of processes ensuring optimization and scalability
  • Lead and define change management activities associated with new processes in partnership with Marketing leaders

Campaign Management

  • Manage cross functional marketing campaign execution project planning and tracking; establish campaign execution project plan, track delivery & execution results and provide status reporting on all campaign project plans to functional leads and Marketing Executives.
  • Work with functional leads to establish marketing campaign “execution” metrics/KPIs for each area
  • Define and maintain cross functional Marketing Execution Dashboard measuring results and providing insights to execution effectiveness, timeliness and quality
  • Maintain and optimize as appropriate the campaign project management system and tools used to manage project plan tracking, reporting and approval/authorization flow including any technology ecosystem, dashboards, and project management systems.

Asset Production & Management

  • Develop & optimize framework and process for production & distribution of all marketing assets to marketing teams
  • Establish, track & status all asset deliverables including impact analysis on timeliness of asset deliveries
  • Work with functional leads to establish standard cadence of reporting on key metrics for production and localization pipeline including creation of dashboards & standardized reporting
  • Partner with marketing teams and the Digital Asset Management (DAM) team to ensure all marketing creatives are stored and secured in DAM

Marketing Reviews & Operational Excellence

  • Partner with Franchise Leads, Marketing Leadership, Finance and HR to deliver content for Marketing Reviews including: 1) Franchise campaign status, risks, financials, key execution & performance metrics and 2) GMO Organization updates on talent, financials, key project updates and operational metric updates
  • Set standards to establish a tighter business rhythm for the Global Marketing Organization.
  • Establish and manage the Org-wide scorecard. Utilizing consistent tracking across the org, this role will monitor key KPIs and flag when GMO is falling short in any given area.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

  • BS or BA degree required; MBA a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in Product Marketing and Project/Campaign Management
  • Experience in project and process management
  • Proven experience in providing project solutions across multiple disciplines that consider process and technology
  • Conceptual and strategic thinker who is able to develop and successfully execute on broad and complex business plans
  • Deep experience in developing simple efficient process for a set of complex activities

  • Ability to prepare/present high impact business cases/analyses/recommendations to Marketing exec team

Allison, Development Director

Allison began her career in Vancouver’s entertainment industry in 1995, wearing several hats over the years ranging from Production Coordinator to Marketing and Sales Manager in various Canadian film production companies. In 2007 she entered the world of game development working on Need for Speed ProStreet with the Environments team. Later, managing the Audio team for Need for Speed Undercover, she became a career manager for Need for Speed artists. In February of 2009 she was hired as a project manager for the central Core Technology team within the EA SPORTS label. In 2011 she transitioned into Audioworks, EA SPORTS’ central audio group, where she is currently a Development Director.
